    Pacific Salmon Foundation is a contributor to the Harrison River Salmon Stronghold with the Sts’ailes Nation, the first effort of it’s kind in Canada. The Stronghold’s goal is to protect the healthy and dynamic salmon stocks present in the Harrison river. In 2014, Pacific Salmon Foundation granted $40,000 to help restore the Harrison Slough and increase salmon spawning & rearing habitat.

    In 1913 a railway blast sent hundreds of tons of rock into the Fraser River, blocking the path of thousands of returning salmon. This commemoration ceremony marks 100 Years of cooperation between the Canadian Government, the US Government, First Nations and US Tribes working together to help Wild Salmon make it past Hell’s Gate on the Fraser River to their traditional spawning grounds.
